3 NIGHTS/ 4 DAYS BHERI-RIVER – KATHMANDU-NEPALGUNJ TO SAMJHI GHAT/ CHISA PANI

Day 1:
KATHMANDU/ NEPALGUNJ/ SAMJHIGHAT

We leave Kathmandu by flight to Nepalgunj and from Nepalgunj we drive down to Samjhighat which takes about 3 and half hour to reach the camp at river side. At Samjhi Ghat you will find our river rafting crew with the necessary gears and provisions waiting for your arrival. This is your raft-put-in-point. After the raft is properly rigged, the RIVER GUIDE (acting as a trip leader) will highlight the SAFETY PROCEDURES and handover life jackets, helmets, paddles to all participants. The first day rafting will be full of exciting rapids, graded as 2-3 river scale. For your information, the river rating is based on the Grand Canyon Colorado River Scale 1-8 (1 being the easiest and 8 the most difficult). Lunch is served enroute and later on we will be camping AT RANIGHAT VILLAGE.

Day 2:
RANIGHAT VILLAGE TO CHEPANG GHAT

As usual we will commence floating in our 2nd day. This day the stretch is not that daring in comparison to the day before and the landscape is very beautiful – the rock formation and the gorges are different to the previous day. After the lunch stoppage Enroute we pass by the CHEPANG VILLAGE and stop a little further down from the CHEPANG GHAT for the night camping.

Day 3:
CHEPANG GHAT/NEAR RIVER KARNA CONFLUENCE

The frequency changes at a gradual distances nevertheless the sceneries are as beautiful as ever and as we drift by we will be passing a suspension bridge, the best in this district. And no sooner as we leave the sight far behind we will be meeting the confluence of KARNALI RIVER from the other direction and selecting a good sport. We camp here for the night.

Day 4:
KARNALI CONFLUENCE/ CHISAPANI

This, last day we serve you late breakfast owing to having finished the main rafting stretch and the last bit for this day is about 3 hours rafting only. But, this last bit is to be the highlight of the trip for we will be seeing the CROCODILE breeding project, working to up-keeping by the artificial breeding method and protecting the existing numbers within the area. and finally the rafting trip ends at CHISAPANI, where the transport from the Bardia National Park Jungle Lodges (whichever is booked) will be waiting clients, taking Jungle Safari programs with them. At the latest they will leave CHISAPANI by 4:40 p.m. in the evening. And those not having extension programs in the Bardia National Park will return to Kathmandu by the evening regular coach.
